Christ is risen, indeed! Alleluia!

Christ is risen, indeed! Alleluia!

Like Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women; like the travelers on the road to Emmaus; like Thomas and Peter: my hope is that you will see the Risen Lord this Easter. You may not see Jesus with scarred hands nor dazzling white, yet Christ lives and is with us. May we see the face of the Risen Lord in the face of our neighbours, and by God’s grace, in ourselves. My hope is that the God whose Spirit raised Jesus from the dead might make resurrection happen in and among us. We started Lent by talking about those things in us that need to die - we all have those parts of us that stink of death. May Christ’s love rise in those places, bringing us from death back to life. Thanks be to God! Alleluia!

 In Christ, Pastor Aaron
