Council Organization
Advent’s Church Council has 12 elected positions. They are President, Vice President, Treasurer, Finance, Council Secretary and Chair persons of the following Boards: Worship, Outreach, Education, Stewardship, Fellowship, Care & Social Ministry and Property.
There are many ways to be involved whether it’s by attending worship, sharing a cup of coffee and fellowship, serving on Council or one of the Boards, teaching or being part of the programs listed below…..
Evangelical Lutheran Women (ELW)
Monthly meetings open to all women in the congregation. Bible study and fellowship are the main focus of the gatherings. This group also organizes some events through the year and takes part in the ministry of ELW in our Conference and across the country.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast
Breakfast, good fellowship, and occasional guest speakers, the third Saturday morning most months, open to all men in the congregation.
Small Groups
Groups of 4 to 6 families or couples meet in their homes, typically once a month, for fellowship and Bible study.
Just Older Youth (J.O.Y.) Adult Ministry
Monthly meetings and/or excursions, open to all senior members of the congregation.
Youth Group
Youth Group (for youth in grades 7-12) meets 1-2 times per month for social events, pizza lunch with Pastor, fundraising and acts of service. Check out the following links:

Caring Squares
Advent ladies meet every Thursday evening September to June at 7:30 p.m. A wonderful time of fellowship and discussion as crocheted squares are assembled to make blankets for those in need. Every third Thursday of the month is bible study night. Drop-ins welcome!
